We ecosource and collect seed for our annual plant production from throughout Canterbury. The resulting plants are generally more robust, disease resistant and better adapted to localised conditions. We have been doing this successfully for over twenty years, which means we have a solid base of expertise and knowledge in this field.
We are able to grow plants to specification as required by our customers. We can give advice on plants for specific conditions and areas. Seed can be collected from a site, or our own seed can be used. The exact number of plants required can be grown to size specifications at a discounted price and supplied at the best time for planting in order to maximize plant growth and minimize loss. In this situation, we can also collect seed and grow plants that are not usually grown commercially, but are needed to ensure biodiversity.
If planting plans or plant lists are emailed or faxed to us we can supply a competitive quote for either plant supply from our own stock or supply plants on a contractual basis. We are also able to offer a plant sourcing service for those more unusual plants, or when large numbers required quickly are unable to be supplied by one nursery.
We sell to both the wholesale and retail markets and are able to freight New Zealand wide. We also work in conjunction with our Landscape group on their conservation, revegetation, contracting and environmental care projects. We can also offer a user friendly consultation service. One of our staff with the necessary skills will visit a site to talk through what is needed to develop a vision. There may be a small remnant needing protection and enrichrichment or a creek running through farmland that needs protection and planting. Any actions can be tailored to a budget and we can also advise about where to look for funding resources.

| Propagation | 95% of our plants are ecosourced. We use a smaller grade pot (Rx90) for revegetation type work and a bigger (2.5L/Pb5) pot for enrichment and amenity planting. We also use a middle size / 1.5L pot for some appropriate plants. |
